Who we are
Vatrina is a marketplace that brings Egypt's local fashion brands together in one app. We operate from Cairo, Egypt. This policy covers our website at vatrina.app and, once we launch, the Vatrina app and services. In this policy, "we" and "Vatrina" mean the team behind Vatrina.
What we collect
Right now Vatrina is pre-launch, so the only thing we actively collect is what you give us:
- Waitlist sign-ups. Your email address. If you're a brand, also your brand name and whether you're interested in Vatrina or Vatrina Direct.
- Messages you send us. Anything you include when you email us at support@ or hello@vatrina.app.
- Basic technical data. Your IP address and standard request details, kept briefly to keep the waitlist secure and stop abuse.
- Cookie choice. A small record of whether you accepted optional analytics, stored on your own device.
When shopping goes live, we'll also collect the details needed to fulfil an order — your name, delivery address, phone number and order history. We'll update this policy before that happens.
What we use it for
- To let you know when Vatrina launches, and to send updates you asked for.
- To talk to brands about joining and getting set up.
- To keep the service secure, reliable and free of abuse.
- To understand how the site is used and make it better — only with privacy-friendly analytics, and only if you allow it.
What we never do
- We never sell your personal data. Not now, not ever.
- We never share it for someone else's advertising.
- We don't spam — you can unsubscribe from any email in one tap.
Who we share it with
We only share data with trusted providers who help us run Vatrina — for example our hosting and email tools, and, at launch, our delivery and payment partners. They may only use it to do their job for us, under confidentiality. We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it.
Payments
When payments go live, card payments will be handled by our regulated payment partner. Vatrina does not see or store your full card number. You'll also be able to pay by cash on delivery or InstaPay.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies and local storage to make the site work and to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are optional and only run if you accept them. You can change your choice any time by clearing the site's storage in your browser.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details until we launch and have had a reasonable chance to invite you, then we remove what we no longer need. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Just email support@vatrina.app and we'll sort it out.
Children
Vatrina is intended for adults who are able to make purchases. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
As Vatrina grows we'll update this policy and change the date at the top. If we make a big change, we'll do our best to tell you.
